Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission to Hold Regional Public Hearings in the Lower Rio Grande Valley Nov. 6-7
AUSTIN – The Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission is extending an invitation to the public to attend upcoming regional public hearings in the Lower Rio Grande Valley Nov. 6-7. The Commission is holding these meetings in Mission and Brownsville to receive input from stakeholders and constituents concerning any issues relating to Texas Parks and Wildlife Department policies, goals, programs, and responsibilities.
Regional public hearings will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 6, in the Ruby Red room at the Mission Event Center, 200 North Shary Road, Mission, TX 78572; and at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7, in Room 241 of the Cameron County Courthouse/Oscar C. Dancy Building, 1100 East Monroe Street, Brownsville, TX 78520. Each speaker will have two minutes to address the Commission about TPWD-related issues.
The Commission’s regular November work session and public meeting will also take place in the Valley the same week. The work session will start at 9 a.m. Nov. 6, and the public meeting where commissioners will vote on agenda items will start 9 a.m. the following day, Nov. 7, both at the Mission Event Center.
