Texas State Parks Partner with Five Texas Minor League Teams to Create the Ultimate ‘Park’ Experience This Summer
AUSTIN — Take me out to the park! Texas State Parks and Minor League Baseball teams around the state are teaming up to bring the ultimate day/night doubleheader opportunity for visitors to spend a day at a state park and a night at the ballpark.
Five minor league teams will offer a variety of experiences for game attendees, including game day perks and a chance to talk to park rangers about nearby state parks and the outdoor experiences there.
“Throughout the Texas State Parks Centennial Celebration, we have been lucky to partner with community organizations like these five minor league teams who are introducing baseball fans to their local state parks,” said Texas State Parks Director Rodney Franklin. “It’s our hope that more people learn about the wonder of the outdoors near them and visit a Texas State Park during this special year. Whether you are new to Texas State Parks or simply a baseball fan, we invite everyone to have some daytime fun at a state park and spend their evening at the ballpark supporting their local team.”
The Corpus Christi Hooks, El Paso Chihuahuas, Frisco RoughRiders and Sugarland Space Cowboys will host park staff at the stadium to highlight the parks within an hour of the stadiums.

- Saturday, May 20 — Round Rock Express, Dell Diamond, 7:05 p.m.
