Colorado outfitters charged with big cat scheme
A Mesa County, Colorado outfitter and his guide were indicted Tuesday, Jan. 7 on allegations they conspired to lead clients on illegal hunts in Western Colorado and Utah between 2007 and 2010. The US Department of Justice reports a 17-count indictment alleges Christopher W. Loncarich and Nicholaus J. Rodgers illegally trapped and maimed mountain lions and bobcats to make hunting the cats easier for their clients. Denver Post.
