Hunting with drones for wild hogs?
The Economist reports a Louisiana pest-extermination firm utilizes a remote-controlled aircraft with a thermal-imaging camera and a laser pointer to locate troublesome feral hogs from 400 feet, then hunters on the ground using night-vision are directed to the location to dispatch the animal. Using the drone technology, Cy Brown of Louisiana Hog Control said working on weekend nights over the past six months, he and his partner have dispatched around 300 porkers to hog heaven.
