Montana agency won’t pursue hunter confidentiality bill
Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks has dropped plans to pursue legislation protecting the confidentiality of hunters and trappers who take any type of game animal, expanding a law that protects the identity of those who legally kill bears, mountain lions and wolves. FWP originally considered expanding the bill after some hunters and trappers claimed they were harassed by persons who obtained the information under the state’s right-to-lnow laws. AP.
