A 1873 Colt .45 Frontier revolver and a grizzly bear claw necklace belonging to “Buffalo Bill” Cody sold at auction in Dallas Saturday for more than $40,000 each. Heritage Auction’s Tom Slater said Sioux warrior chief Sitting Bull gave Cody the necklace and the gun was purchased from the New York City firearms dealer Hartley & Graham by Cody in January,1883. Cody died in 1917 of kidney failure at the age of 70. Daily Mail.
