Lawsuit: Wind Farm Eagle-kill Permits Cchallenged

The American Bird Conservancy today filed suit against the Obama Administration over the extention of federal regulations permitting wind-energy companies a 30-year waiver to kill or injure eagles and other raptors without fear of prosecution. The suit contends the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, in facilitating the Administration’s concerted rush to expand wind energy, failed to evaluate the consequences and ensure it would not damage eagle populations.
