I’ve heard wild tales about sight fishing over the years. One of the best was played out amid the dim morning light in an isolated pocket somewhere on Sam Rayburn Reservoir during April of 2012.

The 29th Annual McDonald’s Big Bass Classic had just gotten underway and Alex Finch and his fishing partner, David Tyroch, were hot on the heels of a pot-bellied sow bass that was locked on a spawning bed in skinny water.
