Everyone knows that critters are beginning to feel the urge to move in Texas beginning in August.  Redfish are starting to school in advance of their annual fall migration.  Up north ducks, including redheads are beginning to feel the need to fly south.

This month’s cover art, “Up the Creek:  Redfish and Redhead Ducks” by Florida artist Steve Whitelock covers both of those bases.  It’s a scene that will be more prevalent from late October on but it sets the stage for a time many anglers and hunters look forward to each year.

“Up the Creek:  Redfish and Redhead Ducks” is the Coastal Conservation Associations’s 2016 Dinner Print Series.  The 24” x 36” print has been exclusively available at 60 fundraiser this year.  It is also the companion piece to “Shallow Water Specks: Spotted Sea Trout” that appeared on the April 2016 cover of TOJ and at the 2015 CCA Banquet dinners.
