Happy, Happy Fishing
Take good care of your gear and it will take care of you…most of the time
Story and photography by Matt Williams
The longer you fish, the more you learn. Or at least that is the way it should be.
True. Some guys are faster learners than others. These are typically the ones who are observant of others in the boat, don’t mind asking questions and absorb what they are told like a dry sponge soaking up water.
Of course, it is not just what you know that makes you a good fisherman. It is how good you are at applying that knowledge that counts the most.
While I have learned a lot from other fishermen over the years, I have also learned a lot from my own bone-headed mistakes. This holds especially true when it comes to taking care of my fishing gear, boats, motors and electronics.
