Mississippi Gator Record Broken Twice in Long Weekend

The record for the heaviest alligator taken on Mississippi public hunting waters was broken twice over the long holiday weekend. The first came Saturday with Robert Mahaffey’s 756-pound reptile taken from a 16-foot duck boat off the Mississippi River. It was topped by Brian Montgomery early Tuesday morning with a 792-pound new state record. Mississippi Sportsman reports.
