Unbearable: Punctured bear spray can clears thrift store

An Anchorage thrift store was evacuated Thursday after a fork lift punctured a box of donated items, including a cannister of pepper spray bear deterrent. Medics evaluated 13 people, and two were taken to hospitals, while fans were set up inside the store. “All we can really do is ventilate,” said fire department spokesman Al Tamagni. “So we brought some fans in and we just kind of blew the air outside to get the stuff out of there.” Anchorage Daily News.
